Pet Odor Removal

Urine is composed of water, excess proteins, hormones, inorganic salts, urea, uric acid and urochrome [a natural pigment]. The water part evaporates, leaving alkaline urine salts. These salts are hygroscopic [moisture loving] and attract atmospheric moisture which cause odor to be released. These salts are not water soluble.

We use a Bio-Enzymatic digester and odor counteractant to break down the alkaline salt residue. These products are given the proper dwell time and then cleaned out. This is why basic carpet cleaning will not remove urine residue.

We use specific instruments to locate the deposits areas. The UVL light illuminates the urine salt residue. The urometer has sharp probes which penetrate through carpet and pad to the floor to reveal moist urine residue.

These areas must be identified for complete odor removal.

Body odors from pets are a problem as well. These are caused by the oils excreted from the pets body that accumulate in the areas they lay. We apply a product to these areas that is designed to break down the oils and neutralize the odor. Then it is cleaned out.
