We carefully inspect each rug prior to cleaning in order to identify any apparent special conditions that may need to be addressed. We will then provide you with a detailed estimate and work authorization request. Once you have given us written authorization and approved the estimate, we then tag the rug and bring it to our facility. It is then cleaned and invoiced accordingly.

AWPOV Rug Specialist, Inc. will determine which techniques listed below will be used based on the particular fibers, dyes, soils and construction of the rug.

One of the safest pre-cleaning processes for rugs is air dusting It uses soft yet powerful compressed air to eliminate any dry soil in your rugs completely.

Combining the submersion wash with a disinfectant bath makes for a healthy cleaning of your rugs.

The air/rinse system so thoroughly cleans your rugs that you can litterally drink the rinse water after we're finished.

Using centrifugal force, the wringing machine takes water out of the carpet. This is a very fast procedure and extremely safe as the carpet is not folded or stretched. Proper wringing dramatically reduces drying time and helps retain the vivid colors of the carpet.

We have a controlled drying environment that allows for speed & efficiency in protecting your rugs in process. The rugs do not come out of the drying room until we have used a moisture detector on them to be certain they are 100% dry because wool will hold 30% of its weight in moisture and still feel dry to the touch.

From the drying room it goes to the inspection table, then it is vacuumed and rolled up for delivery.
